I have retired From Microsoft

On March 17th 2023, I announced that I have retired from Microsoft, and that after 20 amazing years in the US, we’re leaving and returning home to the UK! After 10+7 years at Microsoft, today I "retired" in preparation for @bitkitteh and I leaving the US after 20 amazing years and returning home to the UK in June! 10+5 Years at Microsoft

As I outlined in my post about my last 5 years at Microsoft I returned to Microsoft on Feb 29th 2016 - a leap day. In non-leap-years, like this year, I mark my anniversary on March 1st. Sooo … today marks my 10+5th anniversary at Microsoft. At every 5 year anniversary at the company, employees are offered a Service Award commemorating the anniversary. When I passed my 5 year anniversary, I was awarded a very cool clock which is in my office (I’ll add a photo of it when we return). A New Role

In my previous (admittedly lengthy) post, I outlined my last 5 years’ work at Microsoft: From sending frustration-mail to a contact at Microsoft, re-joining Microsoft, helping deliver Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL), and Windows Terminal, and helping drive the WinDev performance project.
